What is Trippie Redd’s Net Worth?
An American rapper and singer, Trippie Redd has an estimated net worth of $5 million. In a private conversation with CelebrityNetWorth in July 2019, Trippie asserted that his actual net worth is $16 million; however, he failed to provide sufficient evidence to substantiate this assertion. His debut studio album, “Life’s a Trip,” released in 2018, made its way to #4 on the Billboard 200 chart. The single “Dark Knight Dummo,” featuring Travis Scott, peaked at #29 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart and #72 on the Billboard Hot 100. Trippie has been involved in feuds with 6ix9ine and XXXTentacion. In September 2019, rapper 6IX9INE testified regarding Trippie Redd’s affiliation with the rival Five Nine Brims gang.
Early Life
Born as Michael Lamar White II on June 18, 1999, in Canton, Ohio, Redd grew up in Columbus, Ohio, with his younger and older brothers. His mother often played music during his childhood, exposing him to artists such as Ashanti, Beyonce, Tupac, and Nas. As he grew older, he gravitated toward the sounds of artists like T-Pain, Kiss, Nirvana, Green Day, the Offspring, and Simple Plan. Tragically, his older brother, known as Dirty Redd, was killed in a car accident in 2014.
In 2014, Redd took his first steps in music by releasing tracks online, motivated by his brother and other influential rappers such as Lil Tae. After completing high school, he relocated to Atlanta and encountered rapper Lil Wop.
Career
With Lil Wop’s assistance, Redd began to perform in a professional recording studio. They collaborated with Kodie Shane and produced three projects: “Awakening My Inner Beast,” “Beast Mode,” and “Rock the World Trippie.” Eventually, he secured a record deal with Strange Entertainment and made the move to Los Angeles.
In May 2017, Redd debuted his mixtape, “A Love Letter to You.” The lead single, “Love Scars,” garnered over 8 million views on YouTube within months and achieved more than 13 million plays on SoundCloud. He was also featured on rapper XXXTentacion’s album “17,” with their collaboration “Fuck Love” reaching the 28th position on the Billboard Hot 100.
October 2017 marked the release of his second mixtape, “A Love Letter to You 2,” which debuted at number 34 on the Billboard 200. That same month, he also released a collaborative EP with Lil Wop titled “Angels & Demons.” December 2017 saw the release of “Dark Knight Dummo,” featuring Travis Scott, followed by the song “TR666” on his SoundCloud account on Christmas day.

White announced the title of his debut studio album, “Life’s a Trip,” in July 2018, initially planning for it to contain 26 tracks before eventually streamlining it to 16. Released in August of that year, the album positioned itself at number four on the Billboard 200 album chart. Later, he unveiled “A Love Letter to You 3,” which climbed to number three on the Billboard 200.

In May 2019, Redd debuted the track “Under Enemy Arms,” which served as the lead single for his second studio album “!.” The second single, “Mac 10,” followed in July of the same year. The album made its debut in August 2019, landing at number three on the US Billboard 200 chart. Although it did not garner overwhelmingly positive critical reviews, he later released another mixtape titled “A Love Letter to You 4” in the same year, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, marking his first chart-topping album.
In the first half of 2020, Redd collaborated with various artists, including KSI, Juice Wrld, and PartyNextDoor. In June 2020, he released the lead single for his third studio album, “Pegasus.” The entire album leaked online in August 2020, but it was officially released in October, debuting at the second position on the Billboard 200.
Early in 2021, Redd rolled out the deluxe edition of “Pegasus,” which was reimagined as a rock version called “Neon Shark vs. Pegasus.” He announced plans to release his fourth studio album, “Trip at Knight,” later that year. Furthermore, he collaborated with Playboy Carti on the track “Miss the Rage,” which debuted at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, he released a single titled “Holy Smokes,” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, and the album “Trip at Knight” was released in August 2021.
Personal Life
Redd has faced various controversies involving other artists. He publicly criticized 6ix9ine on Twitter following a post that accused the rapper of being a pedophile. This led to an incident in November 2017, where he was attacked by members of 6ix9ine’s team at a hotel in New York. Over the years, the two continued to engage in social media feuds.
He also experienced conflicts with rival rapper XXXTentacion. Nevertheless, they managed to resolve their differences and collaborated on multiple tracks. Following XXXTentacion’s death in June 2018, Redd dyed his hair in tribute to the late artist.
Additionally, Redd has encountered legal issues. In May 2018, he was arrested in Georgia after being involved in an assault on rapper FDM Grady. Grady alleged that Redd made a derogatory remark about his girlfriend, prompting a confrontation where Grady brandished a firearm briefly before they engaged in a fistfight. Redd, along with three other men, then attacked Grady. Following the incident, he faced charges of public fighting, criminal trespass, and simple battery. A few months later, he was arrested again for allegedly pistol-whipping a woman.
